Caris septempunctata
The snug Caris septempunctata lives on a bottle of great Austrian white wine called Grüner Veltliner. He is lovely, yet powerful – just as Grüner Veltliner itself. Discover other characteristics of this grape variety, represented by Papilio scorpius and Locusta cervus.
Where do they come from?
While the exact origin story of Crazy Creatures remains steeped in mystery we do know certain facts of their appearance in modern times. They come from a small Austrian village called Palt, in the wine-growing region known as the Kremstal, where you find Grüner Veltliner as the dominant grape variety. The home of Crazy Creatures is Malat winery (www.malat.at), a traditional, family owned wine estate since 1722. And it is from here they quest to bring thrills and chills to wine lovers around the globe.
Papilio scorpius
The multifaceted Papilio scorpius perfectly represents the taste of Grüner Veltliner, a great white wine from Austria. Together with Caris septempunctata and Locusta cervus, she accompanies the Grüner Veltliner on his trips around the world.
What are they made of?
The Crazy Creatures are made of 100% Grüner Veltliner and nothing else. The strong and unique characters of Crazy Creatures go along perfectly with the diverse flavour of Grüner Veltliner, which is Kremstal’s most important grape variety and even more, the most important grape from Austria. It’s known for its spicy, herbal but also fruity aroma and a crisp, fresh acidity. Only the best grapes from the region are used for Crazy Creatures.
